A lot of people wanted to know if they knew me when they saw me. I was just a stranger with a guitar and mic. Back in New Brunswick in the basement of Tumulty's Pub is where we would gather. To sing our songs and celebrate our music. Everyone was welcome.
lyrics
Weren’t you in a band?
Weren’t you in a movie?
Say what you doing now?
Why don’t you come hang out
I know a great place cross town
We can all get down
Why don’t you come out
Why don’t you come out -
I can’t I got to go
I gotta see the people
When the night gets dark
I love to pick up my guitar
Its quite in the suburbs
So i jump in my dad’s car
I race down Livingston Ave
Past the places I grew up
I swing in the door at Tumulty’s Pub
And the Lyonhart he throws me a mug
And he says
You gotta see the people
You gotta see the people
Yeah you gotta see
We’ve got to see
And Nacin’s on the mic
Shouting stories about Christopher Reeves
And Jpat is nice
Giving me the low down on the ladies
Steve slides me another plate of wings
They kick us all out and then we sing
We’re going to see the people
We’re going to see
We got to see the people
Yeah we got to see
All the smiling and the crying
And the happy and the sad
The cross faded the elated
The young and old
The old and the young
Go and see
Yeah you gotto see
We’ve got to see people
Yeah we’ve got to see
Yeah we’ve got to see
You know we’ve got to see
The people
